The chair Lango Parliamentary group, Hon Judith Alyek together with Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero and Lira City Council Authorities have today (Sunday 23 July 2023) hosted the president of Association of Surgeons of Uganda (ASOU) Prof Frank Asiimwe and his team as they shared a report on the Pre- camp visit for the Lango Surgical Camp and Registrar's Symposium which will take place from Sept 10- 16, 2023.

The Association of Surgeons of Uganda is a body that brings together over 400 qualified surgeons and those in training to advance surgical healthcare in Uganda.

The healthcare infrastructure in Lango sub region where the surgery will take place include; Lira Regional Referral Hospital, at least 6 hospitals and 10 center IVs in all districts of the sub region.
